Maljaul Aitham Orphanage (MAO) College of Arts and Science is an affiliated higher educational institution that caters the educational needs of students in and around this locality. The college was founded out of awareness that higher education is the basic tool for the socio economic and political empowerment of the people. MAO College is not just another college among hundreds of colleges. This institution has been striving to create the right social and physical environment which helps the learners in their curricular and co-curricular aspects of education. We have devised many programs of educational and extracurricular nature with a view of guiding the students to progress for much advanced learning and placement.

The College is a recent entrant in the field of higher education (the first batch will pass out in 2018). But it is managed by a committee with long experience in educational governance and humanitarian works.

With about Three hundred students, nineteen faculty members and three supporting staffs, MAO College is a close knit community. Each learner gets individual attention from the teachers helping him/her to foster the skills inherent in them. Students have easy access to staff who help them in all possible ways to fulfill their educational dreams. Working individually and in groups, ensuring student’s participation in building civic sense, creating of awareness that they are part of the community and the public are some of core values we inculcate among our students. Holistic education that nourishes the body and mind is our objective. Enhanced performance in academics has brought us good results so far. Stimulated learning, student safety and connectedness to peers have given us an institutional ambience for meaningful and effective education. Students, the faculty, the supporting staff, the management and the public are our stake holders. They support one another making our onward journey smoother and pleasant. It is hoped hat with the help of all these segments our educational goals can be materialized.

In a world that rewards perseverance, resilience, initiative, problem solving skills and co-operation. I am sure that our students will leave better equipped for pursuing post graduate education, for training and employment. I am proud of whatever our students have achieved and hope that this institution will ascend further to the peak of quality education. May Allah the Almighty be with us in all our noble endeavors.
